About CBA

Objective

“CBA was established for the benefit of the Bengali Community in the United Kingdom for the charitable purpose by the promotion of the efficiency and effectiveness of voluntary and other institutions in so far as such organisations and institutions are working to advance charitable purposes”.

The Key Roles of CBA are:

• To promote and encourage good multi-agency practice in work that is aimed at strengthening Bengali voluntary organisations through capacity building, organisational infrastructure support, policy work, research, training and community development work.
  
• To act as a co-ordinating and consultative body for the Bengali Voluntary Organisations.
  
• To maintain an awareness of national developments that will affect the Bengali Voluntary Sector.
  
• To offer consultation and representation to local, regional, national and international agencies on behalf of Bengali Voluntary Organisations in the United Kingdom .
  
• To collect and disseminate useful information for the Bengali Voluntary Organisations in the United Kingdom .
  
• To develop networking and good relationships with other Bengali and Non Bengali voluntary Organisations in the United Kingdom .
